Questions

Plain answers

What boys.guide is, what it will not do, and who is behind it.

Is this a parenting guide?

Not exactly. It is for any adult man a boy or young man looks to: father, uncle, grandfather, older brother, coach or teacher. It is about your own example, not about managing a child.

Can a boy use this site?

It is for adults aged eighteen and over. If you are younger, talk to an adult you trust, or find a helpline for young people in your country.

Will it give me advice about a specific child?

No. It never asks for a child's name, school, photos or messages, and it does not assess children. It helps you think about your own behaviour.

Who is behind it?

James Roberts, who spent nearly twenty years headhunting in travel and hospitality. The chat is an SI (super intelligence) guide written in his voice. It is not James replying live, and he is not a parenting expert.

Is it free?

Reading is free, and you get ten free conversations a day. Membership at contented.guide opens every guide in the network and keeps a private record of what you write.

What if a child may be at risk?

Pause and get the right people involved now: your local emergency services if the danger is immediate, or the child protection services where you live. The safety page lists the routes.
